Don't know if this will help, but my brother (a retired EE with AT&T) thinks it's the adaptor. Probably a failed capacitor. I've finally struggled through the mysql (no prior experience) portion of setting up a MythTV system and am now having issues with a new Hauppauge PVR-250. I have the program guide working, can run mythtvsetup, access all the menus, etc. Unfortunately, if I choose "Watch TV" all I get is channel 4. Any attempt to change channels fails, which causes me to suspect that my tuner is incorrectly defined... or the module is not loading correctly... Linux radio question

Just starting to listen to live radio using RealPlayer 10.0.2.608 w/ SuSE 9.2 (thanks to SuSE for the free 9.2 DVD ISO). Any recommendations for free Web sites and/or Linux tools for selecting stations and managing addresses for favorites? Have tried saving links to connections under "favorites" with RealPlayer, but I often get error messages indicating a possibly outdated or inaccurate link when I try to return to a saved station ... sometimes I can retrieve a live stream, sometimes not. Rick

OT: Free Wireless Internet in KC

I'm off at an art fair with my artist wife in Oklahoma City. Our hotel didn't come with free wireless internet, but the IHOP across the street did. I'm sending this E-mail from that very IHOP (although the signal was strong enough to reach out to the parking lot). I'm curious: where in KC have people found equally free (or free with a food purchase) wireless Internet access? I know some of the Panera Bread restaurants have them, but it would be interesting to find out places which already have it to schedule alternative LUG and other computer group meeting locations. I must sign off as the battery power in the laptop is getting low. Which is another thing: when you post locations with free wireless Internet access, be sure to note locations of power outlets as some of us have laptops without good batteries. This IHOP doesn't really have a table with a power outlet near it. ===== And I always thought: the very simplest words Must be enough. But what about little sensors in the rocket, to track speed and altitude and transmit to a land-based Linux server, running a graphical plot of the rocket? Maybe even add a little spy cam to transmit video back to the server?
