When I did an install (text) with "factory CDs" I found that if I asked
it to look for bad blocks it would find some and then refuse to install.
When I told it to not look for bad blocks it was happy and would install.
This happened on two different disk drives and two different machines.
I guess this means you shouldn't go looking for trouble.

After you boot from the first CD, tell it "linux mediacheck" and it will
read your CDs and verify the md5sum against the md5sum embedded in the
ISO image. This will let you know you have downloaded and burned good CDs.
