Coverage mapping

So is there an application like netstumbler for Linux, that will let me wander 
around my environment and map where I have signal and where I don't? 
 
I would appear to have an ACX100 based SMC 2435W up and running at 22Mbps, 
which may be a first.  I have to do some serious investigation to determine 
what I did that worked, but it may have been as simple as adding the ESSID to 
the ifup-eth1 file. 
 
Are there GUI signal monitors available?
