Accourding to BIll Gates, Microsoft's innovations led to the open source
movement. I read about this on slashdot the other day and had to laugh at
Bill's answer to a question about open source. It is near the end of this
document:

According to Gates, Open Source and Free Software is not bad; it is the GPL
that is Evil. Basically, if it legally prevents M$ from stealing code, it
is bad! Not that any license like that has ever STOPPED them from using GPL
code in their products, but it probably makes them feel BAD about doing so!
