webcam

I have an older webcam that works off it's own PCI capture card.  It's a pretty
generic card with a brooktree chipset.  The camera is just a little color jobbie
(sony I think) that sends NTSC signal to the card.  Bought it almost 3 years
ago.  works great, it's still in use on my PC.  I would be willing to pull it
and donate it to the "cause" for the week if someone could get it to work.
Don't know if it would, but I think there's a better shot with it than with a
USB camera.

Also, don't forget that my sparc is available for the show.  Just let me know
where you need it and it's there.  The Netfinity is mounted in it's rack and I
really don't want to pull it (with the new drives it's weighing in at a cool 300
pounds), but the sparc is still available.

As far as the state of the list and of the group in general.  I agree with the
lack of organization, however, I think that there are enough of us on the list
who really want to expand our knowlage base (as well as others) that we can get
past the whiners and do something cool.  This Linuxfest is a good start.  I
don't have alot of know-how, but I'm willing to donate equipment, time and
effort in order to advance the project.
