Subject: Can a running program be signalled by a hardware interrupt?
Date: Sun, 16 May 1993 14:30:17 GMT

I was wondering if Linux could signal an average running program
when it gets an interrupt, say INT5, maybe in the form of a signal?
I noticed how the kernel routines all use IRQ.C's functions like
irqaction, etc... and are implemented as a signal. Maybe something of this
order?
