Those claims are true. They do work. My system is proof.

In fact, Pat Mackinlay and I are working on the Western Digital part
of the code (I'm the one with the WD card who's been extensively testing
it for him). I'm going to make a few tweaks for him to improve some of
the parameters in the autodetect routines. Another observation, the code
is pretty decently fast. Not as blazing as you might expect from the regular
hard drive code, but it's decent enough.
