I just made a very stupid error : I did chmod -R 775 /usr , makeing every
file in the /usr dir and subdirs executable. (I wanted to make only the
directories rwxrwxr-x) Is that bad (i.e. will some
programs give errors) or can I just leave it ..... If not, what would be the
easiest way to correct this screwup ?? If it makes any difference, I use the
HJ Lu disks. As I just started with Linux, I do not have very much that isn't
on the HJL disks.

And another question : What is the 'homebase' of the HJ Lu disks ??

Please reply trough Email....
