There are two solutions I have tried, both mentioned previously. There was a
small C program, and also some people reccommended holding down the left mouse
button while starting X. I have tried both of these, and neither worked with my
three button mouse. :-( Apparently, the holding-the-button-down method works for
Logitech mice, so one solution would be to buy one of those. Still, I would be
interested if anyone comes up with another solution to this problem, because I
like my mouse and don't particularly want to get another one! I will mail the C
program to anyone who requests it.
